FaithAndBusiness

Business is all about people. Wanna put together a successful software development team? You'd better get some good people, or the rest won't matter much (see KeyToSuccess). Already working with a team of less than ideal people, or people who don't care enough to be able to prompt them to success? You're not alone -> MakingBadProgrammersCare. And get ready for an uphill battle (see IncompetentCompetence, ResistingChange). Want to be a good manager? You've got to deal with people issues (HonestyInConfrontation).

This is all very interesting to me. When we talk about broken business, we're really talking about broken people.

And this is probably where some of you will stop reading, "Well, heck, I didn't want to go that far. That's ridiculous bringing religion into it don't you think?"

Well, no, I don't.

What I'd like to do right now is link you to ChangingTheHeart and have that page actually contain something, but it doesn't (well, it does now [3/3], a little starter, stay tuned to that page or my cuber mer blog). What I'd like it to contain is a methodology in my own words based on my counseling experiences coupled with Scripture. Certainly not inventing anything, just trying to get a concise overview of the generic process as I've seen it work in my life. But for now, you'll just have to wonder (or email me to pester...**)

(** or consider ordering a copy of TheVoiceOfTheHeart, a book by Chip Dodd, the man who counseled me through most of my stint, where I learned all this stuff.)
